ARPANET switches to TCP/IP
ARPANET hosts replaced the older NCP protocol with TCP/IP, creating a shared foundation for internetworking.
Often called the TCP/IP “flag day,” the coordinated transition made it practical for multiple networks to operate as an interconnected system.
