The first website opens the Web to Internet users
The first public website explained the Web project and showed how to create servers, browsers and pages.
CERN (CDS) Hosted on Berners-Lee’s NeXT computer at CERN, the site acted as a demonstration and a manual. Through 1991, Web software spread to other laboratories. The site available today is a reconstruction, not an untouched copy of every file from its first day.Sources & references 1 source
