    Researchers compared the scents and skin microbes of 119 people across three disease-carrying mosquito species and found that the insects preferred different individuals. No participant ranked among the most attractive group for all three species, suggesting that mosquito attraction depends on both the person and the species. The controlled experiment measured movement toward odor, not bites or disease transmission, and the chemical and bacterial patterns remain correlations rather than proven causes or a basis for a new repellent.
