Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia (HoFH)
Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia is a rare inherited disorder in which harmful variants inherited from both parents severely impair LDL-cholesterol clearance. LDL levels are extremely high from childhood, creating a high risk of early atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
