How Do Governments Review Connected Robots for Security Risks?
Connected robots combine cameras, microphones, wireless links and remote software, so regulators may treat them as communications and cybersecurity products as well as machines.
Connected robots can sense their surroundings, transmit data, receive software updates and sometimes accept remote commands. Those capabilities make them useful, but they also create security questions that ordinary mechanical products do not raise.
